Privacy Policy

KRuth (“we”, “us”) operates this website and the KRuth skin quiz. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It is written to comply with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

What we collect

• Account details — your name and email address, provided when you register with an email and password or sign in with Google.
• Mobile number — collected after sign-in so we can reach you with order and delivery updates.
• Birthday and gender — optional. You can leave them blank, and add, change or remove them at any time from Account → Settings.
• Skin quiz answers and results — your responses and the routine we recommend, saved to your account so you can revisit them.
• Orders, wishlist and delivery address — when you place an order or save products to your wishlist.
• Device data — a session cookie to keep you signed in, local storage for your cart and theme preference, and anonymous page analytics.

Why we collect it

• To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
• To personalise your skincare routine from your quiz answers.
• To process orders and send order, delivery and account emails.
• To contact you about your orders on the mobile number you provide.
• To understand overall site usage and improve the experience.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Where your data lives

We use a small number of service providers to run KRuth:

• Supabase — secure database hosting for accounts, orders, quiz results and wishlists.
• Google — only if you choose “Sign in with Google”.
• Resend — sending transactional emails (verification codes, order updates).
• Vercel — website hosting and anonymous analytics.

Passwords are never stored in plain text — they are salted and hashed. Payment card details are not stored on our servers.

Your rights

• Access and correction — view and edit your mobile number, birthday and gender in Account → Settings. For name or email changes, contact us.
• Deletion — email us at kruthecom@gmail.com from your registered address and we will delete your account and associated personal data.
• Withdraw consent — you may stop using the service at any time and request deletion as above.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy. See also our Terms of Service.
